Amblyopia (lazy eye)
Amblyopia or lazy eye is the failure of the vision to develop in one eye and is not due to a health problem of the eye. The vision cannot be fully corrected with glasses or contacts. Treatment typically includes vision therapy, eyeglasses, contact lenses, or a patch. Surgery will not treat amblyopia. The sooner treatment is initiated, the greater the rate of success.
